I can download video from my SONY PC105 and TRV120e DV camcorders to
my PC via Firwire perfectly without ever a dropped frame.
But when I try to transfer a DV-AVI file back to the camcorder, the
camcorder will frequently lose the video (i.e. just shows a blue
screen on the camcorder)for a second or two then continue.
I am using Win XP-pro and have closed every program running in the
foreground and background it's just about possible to do (inc. virus
checker). I have tried two Firewire cables and the result is the same
i.e. perfect Cam -> PC & intermittent faulty PC -> Cam transfer
The fault seems to be random and not at perfectly timed intervals
Has anyone experienced this problem got a solution? Could it be a PCI
conflict?
However, the Device Manager says there are no conflicts and all
drivers are working.
Any help much appreciated.
