Just finished putting together a new system for a friend:
ASUS A7V8X-X
AMD Athlon XP 2600+
512MB DDR
80GB HDD
ATI Radeon 9000
A-Open 52x24x52 CD-RW

Everything was running fine, everything was loaded. Tried to update the drivers for the Radeon, which caused problem, so Flashed the BIOS, but he didn't make up his floppy. Now system is screwed.

Anything that we can do???

So much to say, not enough spac

Take it to a shop and have them reflash it or order a new bios from asus. Reflashing the new tiny bios from dead, is much tougher, since to do it you have to take the good bios out of a working mobo while it is running. Very scary trying to pry that chip out without shorting something.

Have you tried reseting the bios with the rtc jumper?
Edited by endyen on 01/18/04 02:10 AM.
