So, I've had a Toshiba External HDD 3.0 for a while now (I cannot for the life of me find the actual model ##), and recently it just stopped appearing in Windows Explorer.
The hard drive WILL show up in Disk Management, and shows up as "Disk 2, Unknown, Not Initialized." When I attempt to initialize it (I understand that I will lose all data w/ this approach), it tells me "Disk Not Ready".
It will not show up using Windows Explorer, or the CMD w/ Diskpart. Is there anyway I can "save" my hard drive, and re use it? I would prefer to keep my data (Considering it holds the entirety of my Steam library, and all of my music and movies. Quite foolish of me to have no backups of any of it.), but if I can't, it's entirely okay.
If it helps, I am running Windows 8.1.
