problem when i try to change my IP-Adress

Hey,
I've got a problem when i try to change my IP-Adress using ipconfig /renew it says No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has its media disconnected.
but i know that i am connected even though i tried doing that with a cable linking my router...
I just want to change my ip adress somehow i tried using vpn but it makes the internet so slow.

What IP address are you trying to change?
The internal one given by the router? Or the external one given by your ISP?

Only the first one do you have any control over.

My router one and the reason is cause i got banned in a cs 1.6 server for no reason

Well....your ISP has control over that. Not much YOU can do to influence that.

As far as your game server ban...that's between you and them.
