I just bought a new MSI K7T Master and I got a
Quantum AtlasIV off Ebay and for some reason when I go
to Load Win98 it gives me an error and says
Windows ran into a error trying to read/write
to your hard drive. Does anyone know what this could mean?
Does this mean the drive is bad or are my configurations
wrong or do I need to setup another drive off IDE and try
to format the Ultra160 Drive from Windows loaded on IDE?
Or do I need to take off the Single Ended jumper from the drive?
Not quite sure what to do since this is my first time
messing with Ultra160 drives. I've had SCSI drives in the
past but mainly SCSI-2 stuff.
Any suggestions,
I've low level formatted the drive and tested it for media
defects both didn't indicate an error. And I'm pretty
sure you can set a Ultra160 drive to be bootable or am I
wrong?
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
