Problem with ADSL Splitter Installation.

I have a ADSL splitter with three ports labelled (ADSL, Phone and Line).I have connected my telephone devices to the port labelled phone, ADSL modem to the ADSL port and the line to the wall socket as usual.But i am not getting internet connection.So reconnected my telephone devices to the port labelled ADSL modem,and ADSL modem to the port labelled phone(just opposite to the actual connection). After that i checked my internet connection,and its working,But the telephone device is working with very high pitched noise when the internet is ON.

Weird. If it is the phone connected to the splitter, sounds like the aDSL filter built into it is defective. If it is another phone in the house though, you need a aDSL filter for every phone.
