hello everyone
I have the AOC AG241QX monitor and everything is fine except one thing.
when i watch a movie or video on youtube or streamers at twitch, after 6-10 mins the video starts to play in "powepoint". i mean sound goes perfectly but image plays in slides. i pause and instantly play and everything is fine for another 6-10 mins but happens again. this happens ONLY in videos, never in games. the monitor is set up at 2k 144hz and connected through displayport.

MSI aero 1050ti
i5 3450
8gb ram
any suggestions/solutions on how to fix this?

This started to happen with this new monitor only.. even in vlc, bsplayer, youtube, twitch etc.. as i said only in videos

thx again bro for the answer.. the back of monitor is ok, not even warm... the strange thing is that i play at least 6-7 hours 2k games at 144hz and nothing strange happens. i mention it because games are heavier than a simple video on youtube or a movie in VLC.. something i just tested is that i switch to full hd instead of 2k and everything on videos seems fine, but whats the point of having a 2k monitor if you cant use it properly :(

As an experiment try HDMI and see if it does the same thing.

Well, not really to the monitor, if you have the refresh set at 144hz it is still processing and changing each pixel to suite, even if they don't 'change'. Were it rescaling the incoming signal that would be another matter.

You aren't running any OEM or motherboard software are you? These tend to be the worst programs and can often interfere with things unexpectedly. (I believe it was ASUS AI suite that used to lead to a lot of crashes back in the day)

After that maybe try a complete driver wipe using Display Driver Uninstaller: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Don't go with the absolute latest Nvidia driver, I am told it is unstable. Nvidia does have a firmware patch though: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3788495/warning-nvidia-driver-411-bsod-displayport.html

You can try updating your motherboard drivers, and possibly BIOS, but that may be going too far.

Hopefully someone else with ideas chimes in, I am running out of ideas.
