After gradually developping problems with Acronis and Active Disk, I recently switched to Aomei. It's still a trial version but should offer the whole spectrum for some more time. At first it seemed to work, but now it appears it has somehow deleted my D partition.
I have 2 identic notebooks: #1 is my working horse, #2 the spare horse. From the start, I have configured #1 only, then transferred the complete disk image (C and D) to #2. For both Acronis and Active Disk, this worked well in the beginning, but over time problems started - such that in the end, I could not get #2 to successfully boot anymore.
My attention was drawn to Aomei, I gave it a try, and it seemed to work. Now I find that my D partition is empty. Looking closer, it can be seen that the first two images saved contain 68 GB, while the last has 64 GB only. Could the difference mean that only the last one is defective? But how come, I mean to always have followed the same operation procedure.
Would there be someone familiar with this software?
