I have noticed this issue with my display on my brand new laptop. It seems like it is a contamination in the screen or possible dead pixels. does anybody know how many pixels may be affected and what it may be? Cant seem to upload pictures so I have provided 2 links here with 1 close up pic

Use imgur (www.imgur.com) to post images. (There are no direct picture uploads to Tom's HW.)

Make and model laptop? Source?

Still underwarranty?
Thank you

I can't use imgur as they require a phone number to sign up.
So far HP has refused to repair it under warranty as it must be at least 2 dead pixels. I believe it is 2 or more pixels affected but would like to get other opinions if they agree with me and also what the problem might be eg: dead pixels or contamination during manufacturing,

There should be a green button labeled " + New post" to click. The button I see is on the left side of the monitor screen and 1/3 of the way down from the top.

Clicking the button should open a target window that allows you to drag in the image to be shared.

I am not aware of any requirement for a phone number.

However, there may be other posts and comments on the matter.....
