I bought a new ssd and put my os on it with a clean install. It has worked great for a week. Last night clicked in my bios to optimize defaults and now when I restart my pc is doesnt get past the bios/mobo screen and wont even let me hit del to enter bios. I have to manually disconnect my ssd to prompt an error screen to get into it.
Once into bios screen i make sure i have my os as the 1st in boot sequence but nothing is working. Its really driving me nuts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I did a quick search and found a few people who have had this problem before. Each person finally fixed theirs in different ways.

For one person, the "optimize" option changed the mode of the drive controller (SATA/AHCI versus legacy/IDE). Once changed back, it fixed their problem. Here's the page where I found this info: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/switched-bios-from-fail-safe-defaults-to-optomized-defaults-%C2%96-now-windows-won%C2%92t-load.2382040/

And for someone else, the "optimize" option changed a setting under the Boot Device options, something about "Windows boot". Here is the page where I found that info: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/338253-accidently-pressed-load-optimized-default-settings-in-bios-and-now-pc-wont-boot/

Your BIOS may be completely different and may not even have these options. However, maybe one of the above will help you, maybe not.

Maybe someone else can help too. You might want to post the info on the exact type of BIOS you have and the version, and system specs.
