Problem with Brand New MSI Motherboard

Hello,

I recently bought a new motherboard for my computer and found out that it has a UEFI BIOS. I have read up a bit on the subject and although I managed to install all my other components and install Windows 7, I cannot get the Graphics Card to work at all. Even though my computer will acknowledge that it is installed if I use "PEG" in the BIOS configuration and connect the monitor to the card itself the computer freezes after 20-30 seconds of booting up and then restarts after 2-3 minutes all by itself. If however I plug the monitor in the on-board vga port and use the "IGD" option in BIOS everything boots ok and I experience no freezes or restarts. After searching a bit on the internet I came up with some information about after-market graphics card not being able to get installed into a UEFI motherboard. Is this my problem? And if so what can I do to solve it? Do I get a new graphics card or is there a way to properly install the one I already have?

Thank you in advance.

My PC Specs:

CPU: Intel Celeron Processor G1620 (2M Cache, 2.70 GHz)
MOBO: MSI H61M-P20 (G3)
RAM: 2 x 2 Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1333C8 (4GB in total)
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EARS 1TB
PSU: Silencer MK III 400W
GPU: Nvidia 430 GT

PS. My Motherboard doesn't seem to have a way to disable Secure Boot.

im not entirely sure but are any old graphics card drivers removed and are the new ones installed correctly. Ive also had a problem before where my motherboard internal graphics were not communicating with the motherboard which caused them to fight and not let me boo or load windows correctly.

I thought of that when I first encountered the problem and formatted the hdd so I don't think anything should be left in there that could cause a software mismatch.

hmm well m not so sure where to help you from here did you try the guide tradesman posted?

Nope, nothing. Up to the point that I connect the gpu to the monitor everything runs smoothly. Even if I have the gpu is on the mobo it still gives me no problems. As soon as I connect the monitor to the gpu though it does the aforementioned loop. I even tried it with a different gpu and it still did the exact same thing. So I guess it's either the PCI-e on the mobo that is faulty or I am doing something wrong considering my gpus (both of them) are not windows 8 ready or UEFI ready... Any ideas?

I failed to mention that the other gpu I tried on the mobo was a 560 Ti. Both of the gpus work on older (Not UEFI) mobos.
The only thing holding me up from concluding as you said that it is indeed the mobos fault is what it says here: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3156/~/when-installing-an-after-market-graphics-card-into-a-certified-windows-8-pc

Since none of my gpus are windows 8 ready and my mobo is, and had no gpu pre-installed on it, I see it as quite a big coincidence. Plus I know very little about UEFI mobos... Do you know anything about that tradesman?
