Hello, I have problem with my headphones and BT dongle on desktop PC.

My problem is - I bought new desktop computer (not laptop). My headphones works with my two laptops correctly and everything is ok. Problem is now with that new desktop computer.

I can connect headphones JBL E55BT to Bluetooth (I have USB Bluetooth dongle), but sound is interrupted, like distortion, crackles, mostly almost nothing can be heard properly, the sound is a disaster.

I tried many things - BT dongle 4.0 and 5.0 (different manufacturer), tried with long cable (extension cable) for USB so I put dongle away from computer, but same problem is still. I tried connect BT dongle to my DELL monitor (because I have two USB ports on monitor), but I can't solve this problem with sound. I tried all USB ports on my computer (behind 6x and on top 2x). My motherboard is Asus PRIME B550M-A/CSM.

My keyboard, mouse, other headphones (Xiaomi) - everything works on my desktop computer with both dongles (4.0 and 5.0). That's fine.

Then I tried BT dongle on my laptop (disabled laptop default BT) and there JBL headphones works! So where is the problem with my new desktop PC? Is there anything I can try to do?

Also what I did:
- Windows 11 Pro everyhing up-to-date, like all drivers (and fot BT dongle)
- disabled Hands-free Telephony in properties of headphones
- tried to turn off power management in properties of BT dongle

These headphones?

BT dongle: make, model, source (where purchased)?

Update your post to include full hardware specs and OS information for the new desktop PC.

Source/seller?

For comparison purposes and reference: make and model of the laptops?

On the new desktop PC take a look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.

Any error codes, warnings, or even informational events being captured with respect to any audio components or software?

Or times when the headphones were connected/plugged in and the audio was subsequently distorted?

Yes, these headphones, that's right.

Reliability history - how to attach file?
What from Event viewer do you need? Please give me step-by-step if you can...

When I plug in the headphones, the sound is immediately distorted, no delay.

No need to immediately post or send any information via Reliability History/Monitor or Event Viewer.

Reliability History is overall end user friendly. What you are looking for are critical errors, warnings, and even informational events related to anything audio.

Event Viewer is much more difficult to navigate and understand. However, the purpose is much the same - find entries that can be associated with a given problem.

To help with Event Viewer:

How To - How to use Windows 10 Event Viewer | Tom's Hardware Forum (tomshardware.com)

How to use Event Viewer on Windows 10 | Windows Central

However, my thought is that the problem is more likely "physical" with respect to the desktop PC.

When the headphones are plugged in they may not be fully connecting or causing some sort of short or other misconnection.

Power down, unplug from power, open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Use a bright flashlight to inspect for signs of damage. Especially around ports and connectors. Check the I?O panel. Look inside all ports for signs of damage or obstructions. Nothing loose or wiggly.
