After some help I've got an old Acer Aspire 5738Z laptop. The problem I've got is when I plug the charger in it keeps beeping so i bought another one but the same thing is happening. So on inspection of the charging port with out taking it out it looks as though the pin in the centre of the charging port has worked loose/wobbly. The charging port itself seems to still be fine, it's just the pin. Also the charging port is soldered on to the motherboard.
Has anybody got any idea how i can get around this problem, ie can the pin be tightened from the outside ?Many thanks.
