I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Corsair Strafe RGB silent keyboard. It was working fine for a few months. Suddenly, two days ago, the PC just crashed while playing Technomancer. Everything just stopped. One thing I remembered was that there was a cracking sound coming from the speaker before everything stopped. When restarting the PC, the keyboard lit up but when I pressed the enter key, nothing happened. In the end, I unplugged the Strafe and plugged a Microsoft keyboard in. PC booted up without any problem. I thought the PC was overheat but not the case when checked on the temperature of CPU and GPUs. Anyway, I powered off PC and plugged the Corsair keyboard back in. This time, the PC booted up fine. Played the game again, no problem. Then today, just now. it happened again. I got the PC working again by changing keyboard. Booted it up. Then switched it off and changed keyboard back to Corsair one. I am typing with the Corsair now. Anyone has any idea? Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Since my post and no reply, I checked on the manual again and Corsair website. The manual did say plug it into the USB 3 port and the other into USB 2 (this silent Strafe keyboard has two USB connectors). As far as I can understand, one is for power to power up the lighting and features of the keyboard. The other is for the keyboard being used as a USB hub. Since the post, the problem happened a few time. The first thing I tried was to unplug the hub one and leave the power one in USB 3. The problem did come back a couple of weeks again during the hottest September day Even though I thought the temperature was not the problem; I noticed that my GPU is using a quiet default profile. I changed it to a more aggressive one. I have to say that the problem has not shown again since.
Still, thank you very much for your suggestion.
