Just yesterday I got my new GPU a gtx 660 I was so excited I knew it was gonna bottleneck BC of my old CPU a little but when I got the card in there and installed but everything on my computer was running really really slow but idk why when I checked task manager when I would just launch chrome it would be using 90 CPU usage when it regularly used like maybe 15 tops and and I was just wondering what you guys thought the only problems I can see are my CPU is over heating which I don't think it is or I have a really bad viress which could be the case BC my mcafee expired 2 weeks ago but I haven't bin using my computer for about a week n half so idk it would be nice to see some other opinions other than mine so plz help I hope I didn't waste my money I'll post my specs down below

PSU 450 wat
GPU MSI gtx 660
CPU and athlon ii x2 255
Ram 4gb
Hard drive 1tb

1.Run Afterburner and check your GPU usage. If you are running at 99% GPU usage in that particular game, then you have no bottleneck. If you are running at less than 99% GPU usage, particularly if its closer to 50% or less in that particular game, then you have a CPU bottleneck.
2.Malware and Spyware Removal: Download 1: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware it's free http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php and very good run a scan and remove whatever it finds.

Hello!

This may be a virus, it may not. Here's what you should do.

Before you start, turn off your computer and remove the graphics card, put in whatever you had before.

1. System restore to before the problem this will not erase any files, just settings and programs.
2. Download and install CCleaner
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
3. Run the cleanup tool, then the registry tool, don't forget to make a restore point after the cleanup tool, you can also back up the registry with a popup CCleaner gives you once you clean the registry.
4. Download and run MalwareBytes
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/malwarebytes-anti-malware/?1
5. Download and run SuperAntiSpyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/
6. You can now uninstall the scanners if you would like.
7. Turn off your computer and put in the graphics card.
8. install the proper drivers, make sure you get the latest ones from the manufacturers site. You may want to uninstall old drivers if you are switching from Radeon to Nividia.
9. In CCleaner, in the tools section, find the start-up programs and disable everything you don't think you need.
10. Download and install Avast! AV, it's WAY better than McAfee.
