Question Problem with DP-HDMI display

Feb 10, 2020
I have a small problem with my recently purchased Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super which has 3 DisplayPort and 1 HDMI outputs.
I use 2 LG IPS monitors which only have HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs, so with my graphics card I also purchased a DP-HDMI cable to use my second monitor with it. So I use the HDMI and a DP port for my 2 displays.
The PC always recognizes the HDMI-port display automatically, however struggles to connect to the second monitor connected with the DP-HDMI cable. Clicking the Detect button a few times in Display Settings usually solves the problem and the second diplay connects but after turning off the PC and turning it on again after a few minutes I have to repeat this process.
I've tried once connecting only the second monitor with the DP-HDMI cable but it stayed disconnected until I connected the other one and repeated the mentioned process again.
Is it a cable problem? How can I solve this?
Thank you!
