Problem with Dual Channel Memory

Hi, I was previously having issues with my computer not displaying anything on the screen and then restarting after a few seconds as detailed in this thread:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3775168/blank-screen-mobo-cpu-issue.html

So I got it working and figured out the issue was actually something to do with the RAM. My mobo has a dual channel architecture. If I have only one stick inserted then the pc boots up fine, however if I insert a second stick into a slot on the same channel my pc restarts as described above. If I take the second ram stick and insert it into a slot of a different channel then the PC boots fine.

I don't think the issue is with the ram sticks as I've tried different combinations of each and each of them boot up fine by themselves. I just don't know what to do to sort it out.

My specs:

OS: Win 10 pro (changed since the prev thread)
MOBO: GIGABYTE Z97X-GAMING 3 INTEL Z97
CPU: Intel I7 4790k (changed since the previous thread)
GPU: Gainward GeForce GTX 770
RAM: HyperX Fury 16gb (4x4gb) ddr3
PSU: EVGA 750 GQ

Solution
your board channel a is 2 and 4 then channel b is 1 and 3 so seee user manual page 16 also this ram is dual or quad channel you might need to memtest each of them .
