Problem with either ram or mother board, thousands of errors in memtest

So about a week ago my files started corrupting and I was getting many bsod’s. I ran the Windows memory test and it said there was a problem with my memory, so I then proceeded to check it with memtest. I got about 5000 errors which i assume is not very good. Since I have a mini itx motherboard and also only one stick of ram, I decided to test it in the only other ram slot I had (I only have 2 ram slots). The second ram slot came out with 0 errors, so I just assumed the first slot was dead. I am now experiencing over 60000 errors on a ram slot that was saying 0 before and I can’t figure it why. Any help would be much appreciated.

Update the MB chipset driver first, then test the RAM with memtest again, if you got the error, even single one, the RAM has problem. If like you said you got over thousands of errors, and you should buy the new RAM.

i recently updated my motherboard memory driver while trying to find a solution the problem but had no luck. Unfortunately I will have to get some new ram, however it is still under warranty so this shouldn’t be an issue. Also the errors have reached 65000 plus errors for each ram slot, so I do think I have some major problem with my ram. Thanks for the response, kind regards
