[SOLVED] Problem with EX2710 27" 144Hz 1ms IPS

Hello guys,

I made a mistake when buying this monitor. Since I didn't realize freesync was developed by AMD, I went ahead a purchased the monitor, even tho I have an Nvidia 1660ti. The monitor doesn't allow me to turn Freesync on, and the display is by default set to 1080p on windows (it says native) although there are much higher resolutions available. The display's refresh rate tops at 120YHz rather than the advertised 144Hz. I understand the issue with Freesync not being available, but why is the refresh rate also affected? Did I screw up that much by having an Nvidia GPU rather than an AMD one for this monitor?

Using DP should allow you to enable G-Sync via Freesync.
