Problem with FPS on new laptop

I bought an ASUS GL503GE-EN073T yesterday (Specs:https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/asus-gl503ge-en073... or https://www.cyprus-pc.com/asus-gaming-rog-strix-gl503ge...) and I've been having problems with my fps. I'll be playing CSGO on a solid 100-150 fps and Fortnite on 70-100 and a few hours later I play the same games and my FPS drops significantly (CSGO goes at about 30 most of the time and randomly goes up to 100 for a few moments only to fall back down again. Same with Fortnite which stays at roughly 20-45 fps). I have no idea what triggers this or how to fix it. I installed the latest drivers, turned VSync off, turn all the settings to medium, made sure to use the Nvidia card on all games but I have no control over it.

I really need help, does someone know I can fix this problem so my FPS stays high?

Solution
When gaming, always have your laptop plugged in.

As for overheating, make sure you are using your laptop on a hard surface, not pillows or in your bed or on carpet as this will block the vents for intake.

You do have your charger plugged in right?

I do until it reaches max battery, then i unplug it

Plugged in? Should I always have the charger on?

When you unplug the charger your laptop downclocks itself massively to be able to work on battery. Plug in your charger and all your problems are solved.
