Problem with frequency

Hi, i have a laptop so i have 4 GB RAM from manufacturer with 1000mhz frequency, now i just added a new RAM memory 8GB 1600mhz and i have 12 GB RAM running at 799mhz, why?

Because the actual true frequency of DDR 3 1600Mhz ram is 800Mhz and this is being accurately reported.

The true frequency of the 1033 RAM would have been 516 ish.

Nothing is wrong.
