Hello, GA-AX370M-DS3H, I want to install the Ryzen 3200g, but the F21 BIOS was not compatible. I had to buy an A12-9800 to update the BIOS. The Gigabyte website mentioned updating to F31 first and then to F40 for the 3200g. I updated to F31, and now neither the A12 nor the Ryzen 3200g is compatible with the motherboard. I would like to know if there is a way to revert to version F21 or update to version F40 without needing another processor.

Solution
After F30 the BIOS update page clearly states that "2. Due to BIOS ROM size limited, NO Bristol Ridge (AMD 7th Gen A-series/ Athlon™ X4 series) APU support."

So if you updated to F30 or later that CPU is no longer able to be used in that motherboard. Since your 3200g is not supported until BIOS version F40, now NEITHER CPU will work in that board and you will need a supported Ryzen 3, 5, 7 or 9 Zen or Zen+ (1000 or 2000 series) CPU in order to update the BIOS to F40.

Sorry, but that's the facts. Also, before updating to F30 or higher it also clearly states that you MUST update to "AMD Chipset Driver 18.50.16.01 or later version before update this BIOS." So if you don't have at least that driver version installed, you might have a...

So if you don't have at least that driver version installed, you might have a problem there as well although you should still be able to update the BIOS to F40 once you have a Ryzen CPU that is still supported to update with.

Since this board does not have Q-flash Plus, you cannot update the BIOS without an appropriate supported CPU.
