Hello :wahoo:
First i wanna say hi because i am new here and i hope that someone can help me with my problem.
Lets start with my PC Config first:

Intel Core i5-3570k
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H Rev 1.0
Gainward GTX 970 Phantom
16GB - 1600Mhz - Kingston Hyper-X
Samsung 830 + 1TB Samsung HDD
Be Quiet! 450W Straight Power E9
2x Dell Ultrasharp U2414h ( connected via Mini DP <---> DP )

About 10 days ago i purchased a GTX 970 Phantom to replace my onboard HD 4000 graphics.
So the trouble already started when i built it in and bootet the PC.

The Boot was interrupted at the Bios Splash Screen and i was not able to get into Bios at all (No reaction of the Keyboard) -- Debug LED 62.
After waiting some time the boot suddenly continued and i was able to get into windows.

So i installed my drivers, rebootet, but there was still the problem + the second screen was not recognized properly. ( I connected both screens with a mini DP to DP cable ).

I did some research in the net and i found several people with the same/similar problem, also with a gigabyte board and a GTX GPU. They recommended updating the Bios version of the Board.

I checked the version and i was on F8, which was pretty old, so i downloaded the latest official version for the board which is currently the F18 i found here :
http://www.gigabyte.at/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4153#bios

So i put the card out, bootet with the IGP into bios, did a reset to factory, booted again into bios and did the update to version F18.
After i bootet to windows with IGP and then shut the computer down.

I put the GTX 970 back in and i was finally able to get past the Splash Screen normally and also the second screen was recognized at the login screen.

SO - At this point i actually tought my problem was solved, because then i adjusted the monitors, installed the drivers again ( newest version 347.52) and i installed some games and played Far Cry 4 a few days without ANY problems.

BUT THEN : I few days i had only switched on 1 of the Dell Monitors ( Because i only did some gaming so there was no need for the second ). Yesterday i had to do some stuff for university and i switched on the second screen -- Boom -- It stayed black. Did not think much about it, unplugged the miniDP ports of the card and tryed another port, but then the problem really started:

I had no screen at all after that, i rebootet, but only black screen on both monitors. I found out due to the Debug LED that the computer actually boots normally into windows. I can also hear the sounds when pressing several keys.
The monitors also DON`T say that there is no signa, but they stay black - It`s a disaster.

After that i tryed out almost everything yesterday - I put the card out - back in severy times, did bios cmos resets, tryed some things in bios (change uefi to legacy etc. etc. ) I also tryed other Bios versions for the Board (e.g F16 (currently on it), F20e beta) but nothing.

THEN: i switched the backup bios on (Very first Version F5) did a cmos reset and then i could see the splash screen again with the same problem at the very beginning (stuck with Code 62).

So thought: Ok --- better to wait 2 mins for the boot than getting no signal at all - i bootet and installed the driver again, rebootet, but then after the splash screen, i have no signal anymore.

This is were I am now, i really don`t know what to try else.

I though about my PSU, because it "only" has 450W, but actually it should be fine for this card - and due to the fact that i have already played FC4 with it several hours on maximum settings without ANY problem, no freezes etc. - so I actually dont think that it is the PSU.

One more thing: When i boot with IGP into windows, i can see the GTX 970 in the device manager, I also tryed to install the drivery and it is all fine, it is listet in the device manager without any problems.
Also GPU-Z shows the card with all specs listed.

I know it`s a long text --- but i really don`t know what to do.
Get a new board, maybe with other chipset due to incompatability ?

Maybe someone has some other solution for me ....

Thank`s in advance !

Ok i found a solution.
It seems that the DP ports of the GTX 970 were the issue, i connected the monitor now with a DVI-HDMI and a miniHDMI - HMDI cable and everything is working fine now ...

It is really strange because when i additonally connect the monitor to the mini DP ports of the GPU then i can switch the input to DP and the signal is just fine. But as soo as i disconnect the HDMI, or DVI from one of the monitors the screen is turning black again.

I know that there was a BugFix with a driver somewhen in oktober, but it seems that this problem with DP is not really fixed completely yet.
