Problem with Genious SP-HF500A speakers

Hi, So i got those speakers today and I have a little problem. When i plug the headphones into the headphone jack it plays fine but when i plug the microphone from the headset in the line in, it doesnt output any sound...

Just to get this right, you have a headset with a headphones cable going into your speakers and the microphone cable is going into your computer?

If so , I would recommend you just connect the headphone cable into the computer without the speakers Or connect the speakers to a different port.
