it's a repost from my thread in motherboards, maybe it fits better here. I'm going to buy RAM memory for this MOBO, and I found some cheap G.Skill Ripjaws V ones (3200MHz, CL16, model F4-3200C16D-8GVKB or F4-3200C16D-8GRB) The problem is the letter "b" at the end of the models codnames. In the compatibility list, there are these models, but just without that "b" letter. What does it mean? Am i safe to buy this RAM?

If I remember correctly, In the old days, the last letter in gig Rams were about kind of radiator on mems. Is that the same here?

Solution
Yes, the QVL is but a small sampling of available DRAM - they test with what they have available in their labs as time permits. New and newer lines often never make the list 😉

So they will work anyway, with xmp and in all theirs glory? Even when there are no "b" models in the list?

Thank you for help! So I'm going to buy them :)
