So a few days ago i built my first pc with my dad and it went well until we tried to turn it on and see the bios menu. All we saw was black and we knew it wasnt the monitor, so we checked all the cables and it was all fine then bout 30 mins later we took the gtx 1050 ti (graphics card) out. And it booted up fine, we dont think it is a faulty graphics card due to the fact all the fans were spinning when it was plugged into it. What we have done is changed the setting in the bios from PCIe to igfx and plugged the graphics card in again and it booted up fine.

We hope to install a os on it then install the drivers even though we set it to igfx. However i think due to the fact of the graphics card being plugged in it might work

Does anyone know if this will or wont work or if there is another method of fixing this

Thanks

Solution
PCI-E Slot is probably dirty... clean up the PCI-E Slot and try booting with a PCI-E slot... If the issue persists the mobo might have a problem with that PCI-E slot in particular...
