Hi everyone, so today I finally got round to upgrading my PC with a new CPU, mobo, power supply and RAM. The problem now is that when I use my old 660 when I load a game up, the game crashes. The screen just stays on the same image, but I can instantly tab out or CTRL+ALT+DEL with the card working fine. I've only had an error message pop up twice and that's the "Nvidia Kernel Mode Driver has stopped responding and has recovered issue""
Now one solution I was told was to change the PCIe to a 2.0 configuration instead of Auto or 3.0. Changing it to 3.0 does the same thing, but in 2.0 games run perfectly without any problems. In my old setup the GPU was running at 2.0, because the motherboard could't support 3.0. As it says on the box the 660 supports 3.0 so why does it keep crashing. (Taking the card out altogether and using a standard card in the same slot or using the on-board graphics also plays games fine)
Dale.
