I recently purchased a Havit HV-G85 USB controller and am having problems getting to to work. My OS is windows 7 ultimate N. The compatibility for the device (as stated on the box and the manufacturer's website) is only up until windows Vista. Despite the stated incompatibility, the first time i plugged it in it worked just fine, even picking up on my old model HV- G69 controllers button configuration for my PS2 emulator. After my gaming session, I unplugged the device. The next time around my computer did no recognize the controller. A taskbar message that "USB Device not Recognized" now appears every time i try to use it.
I assume that if it worked once, it can work again.
What do i need to do?

try plugging it into a different usb port if you have one. If it works now you probably need to reload the drivers on the normal usb port by plugging it in their, finding and deleting from device manager - say yes if it asks you to delete the files associated with it (have your button configs backed up somewhere). when done unplug it and reboot then when windows is ready, plug it back in and it will reinstall the drivers.

I tried my my total of 6 usb ports. None worked. Also tried uninstalling from device manager with no results. When i swapped the usb port for my wireless mouse it tried reinstalling the mouse and the controller. Mouse went fine but it didn't recognize my controller again. I can't find my button config settings anywhere. I tried the same process with my old controller and it still worked just fine.
