Problem with hp laserjest 2035n -

when I print a one page document, the printer wont stop printing.

How long is the cable, what type of cable?
Reseat the cables, also uninstall and re-install the drivers.
And power-cycle the printer.

Please include OS and printer information. I'm going to provide instructions for Windows. Go to the printing preferences page for the printer that is causing the problem. Next, go to the Advanced tab. Somewhere there you should see "Copy Count". Make sure that this value is set to 1.

i am using Windows 7, and printing thru Novell iPrint

I'm not familiar with Novell iPrint. Are you able to follow the instructions I gave above? If not, try changing the iPrint settings. Once again, you'll be looking for something that mentions "copy count" or "number of copies" or something similar.
