Hi all,

I had the same message while trying to install from 3 different disks
(cannot copy user32.dll)
During installation I removed the paritition on disk c, created a new one
and formatted it to FAT.

Please advise- how can it be that 3 cds has the same problem with the same
file (if I remember right - it was user32.dll).

I checked the cds and two out of three were clean from scratches.

TIA
Guy

What are you trying to install?
If you formatted C I assume your trying to install win*?

Have you had winxp running on this sys before?
Are these origonal MS cd's?

A similar problem, with this dll, can be caused by faulty ram, though there
is usually a different err.msg.

Yes to both.

I spoke with a friend, he said its because I selected quick format on an
un-partitioned drive.
Will test this weekend :) stay tuned.
