Problem with Intel HD 3000

Just built my new system, planning to use integrated graphics till 7000/600 series come out.

2500k
Asrock extreme 3 gen 3
ssd/hdd


When I booted up the system, the device manager shows the display adapter: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter


Then when I let it find drivers (OR manually download from Intel) it finds the Intel HD 3000 drivers. Once I install and reboot, the screen turns black during "Starting Windows" screen. I currently am using HDMI out into my TV.


Does anyone know what the problem may be, or how to fix this?

I'm getting the same exact problem.

Except I have the asus p8z68-v pro/gen 3 board, with the 2600k.
