Hi everyone.
My coworker ask me to help him with his malfunctioning Flashdrive, but I just can't seem to figure out what is the problem.
So the thing is that as soon as it's plugged in it a window prompts to format the the drive before use, then it opens the usual window for formating. But when I try to format it it says that ,,The disk is write protected''. I've tried almost everything I've found on the net about removing the write protection. (through safe mode with command prompt and similar) but it always says that it can't be accessed because another process has blocked a portion of the file or something down this line. While I don't close the formating window it shows the drive, and I can click properties on it (although I can't exit properties afterwards, because it says that ,,the volume label is not valid. Please enter a valid volume label'' doesn't matter what name I try to enter.
Does anyone have an idea what else could be the problem?
oh, and I have windows 7 64bits if it makes a difference. Thanks in advance
