Hi I have Macrium Reflect installed on my PC and have some backup up .mrimg files. I am using an old M2N68-AM SE2 but has served me well.

When I put a recovery USB in. I hit F8 and select it but all I get is a black screen with a flashing cursor. I have 2 of these as I lost one of them for a time. This happens on both of them. Can someone tell me if am doing something wrong? I suppose could do a restore to a CD or DVD?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

Do other known working USB devices work in those USB ports?

Are the recovery USB's readable on another computer?

What steps do you use during the recovery procedure?

Also take a look at the process used to create the recovery USB drives. There may have been some error of omission or commission.
