Question Problem with media players on pc

I started having this problem like few weeks ago and cant fix it. Problem is when i play movies on media players (KMPlayer, VLC Media Player), i can hear sounds like music in movies, but when dialogue starts, thats just like mute, can't hear it. It sounds fine on B.S Player but on others no dialogue sound, i wanna watch on other media players cuz i don't like B.S Player. I tried everything, reinstalling programs, updating sound card drivers etc..can anyone help?

I'm guessing that these movies have some sort of 5.1 multichannel sound, so it may be that the center channel, where all the dialog is stored, is not playing back. What type of equipment are you using for playback; is it full 5.1 channel equipment or is the sound being mixed down to stereo 2 channel? If its being mixed down, is the mixing done by your hardware or software. Perhaps one of those is set incorrectly. In vlc are you using the hdmi/spidf pass through mode?

Ah yes, seems like my speakers were set on 7.1, even tho i have stereo, its working now fine, thanks
