Problem with mic (robotic sounds etc.)

Hello, this is my very first post here, but i've been browsing the forums for some time now.

I have a minor problem with my microphone. Sometimes when i'm on skype, my friends tell me that my voice sound like a robot (or something like that )

And other on some other occasions, my mic is completely muted for around 5-10 seconds. My PC is brand new, so i'm not really sure about what's wrong with it, hehe!

Hmm, I'll see if I can help, seeing that you didn't get a reply. 🙁

Can you record yourself or something, and post it online somewhere (or if possible, attach it to the forum)?

That might help us know what we're up against.
