This is muy very recent build

i5 6600k (not OC yet)
MSI z270 Gaming 5
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
SeaSonic EVO Edition 620W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
SSD EVO 850 500gb
MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6gb
and peripherals.

The thing is, I plug the video card and the system doesn't detect it. Anywhere. Not in the BIOS, not in the System DEvices. ANd of course, I can't install the drivers of something it doesn't "exist".

I asked for another video card (an RX 470, also MSI) and same problem. It doesn't get detected. Can't install drivers, etc.

Not only that, in the system devices, it appears an "unknown ethernet" device (on both cases), and that's it.

Also note that the front audio jacks don't work (despite the cable being plugged in the mobo)

I tried every single driver known to man, and still no result.

My question is:

Is my MOBO's pci-e lines (and audio) busted?

I tried both cards on both lanes, and same result. Nothing.

make sure the mb has the newest bios to rule out a bios bug. with new build make sure the intel inf chipset drivers and mei drivers were installed. on the audio issue with realtek there a box in the control panel for the audio control you have to check the box or uncheck the box so that the front and rear audio ports are not the same input.

I have all the drivers up to date and, no I don't connect the monitor to the gpu because it doesn't have signal. Yes, I tried plugging it in, but still no signal.

I am more and more inclined to believe the pcie slots are busted 🙁

i would still try updating the BIOS first

BIOS is updated to the last version. Already did it and checked if it installed.

Well. I solved the problem. Simply put, I'm an idiot.

The PCIe cable from the PSU was not properly plugged to the PSU (it's a modular PSU), therefore, no power to the gpu, therefore, no video....

I hate my life.

Thanks everyone for the help!
