Problem with my asus p5p800-mx with p4 3.4ghz processor.....

unit keeps on re-starting when installed with 2x1gb ddr400 rams same at same time. but with only 1x1gb ddr400 ram or 2x512mb ddr266 unit is ok although it pretty slow coz its only 1gb ram i guess. what seems to be a problem? please help or suggest anything. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

That motherboard has 4 memory slots. Each slot supports 256MB or 512MB memory modules. It doesn't support 1GB modules.
