Problem with my computer monitor

Hello guys, yesterday when i was on the facebook e.t.c. my monitor turned off, but the light where it shows if the monitor is on/off was on. I restarted my cumputer and still my monitor didn't turned on. Today i took my lcd tv and connect it on the computer with the same hdmi cable where i was using for my monitor and it worked. And i used another hdmi cable to connect the monitor with my computer. The windows are finding both of monitor/tv but still nothing on the monitor it just doesn't turn up

The backlight may have blown on the non-working monitor.

With the monitor connected & Windows running, look closely at the screen whilst shining a torch at it.
If you can see a faint image, the screen needs a new backlight.

Of course that doesn't apply if your monitor is an old, heavy CRT type since they don't have a backlight.

My monitor is LG 27EA33V and i shine it with a flashlight but nothing its pure dark, any other suggestions?
