today my pc has taken longer to start up, sits on the gigabyte splash for 10 seconds, then windows boots and my pc dosent recognize the mouse for a few seconds after restart.

which means for like 4 seconds i cant move the mouse, the nly thing i could have thought of was leaving my pc on for 8 hours yesterday, however it was only uploading a video to youtube, then i later played minecraft, but it was fine then?

what could be the problem? and what should i do?

yes i tried a few times it still happens, once i get home ill try what you said

i dont think tht may work since its not a new build, its 1 month old and this only started since today. is it because my second drive is almost full (2tb harddrive 10gb left) because its full of fraps maybe i need to jut reisnstall drivers. this is what ill try:
try start the pc without the mouse plugged in
try updating drivers
try deleting files
change sata ports (on which drive?)

no its not bcz your HDD is full...as i have a 1TB HDD..only 9 GB was free..but my system was running fine...actually i was facing similar kind of problem when i had connected 2 HDD.. as a result i found out that one of my SATA port on MOBO was faulty....
