I have an ASUS PRIME X670-P motherboard with a G.SKILL FLARE X5 16 GB DDR5 5600 CL36 AMD RAM which I bought a new memory module also 16 GB.
I installed it in the 2nd slot and the computer did not give video but the computer started fine. I removed it and the computer started working normally again. I already checked that they are the same brand, model and frequency so I don't know why the computer doesn't work when I install it.

I put it in both grey sloths just in case.

The A2/B2 slots are the ones you should have them installed in.

Have you tried just the new DRAM module by itself to see if that works properly?

It's not impossible that the subtimings are different on the modules and EXPO isn't loading correctly. You would need to go into the BIOS and make sure it's off then try the two again to test this out.

Hi, I tried disabling AMD EXPO but it didn't work. The RAM by itself I have not tested but from what I understand this motherboard has the princiapl on the B2 and that is the one it uses.

A2 is the primary, and you want A2/B2 populated when using 2 sticks according to the manual. I'd suggest trying the new DRAM module by itself just to see if things behave normally.

I don't know exactly what it was but I cleaned it and put it back in and it worked.
