Problem with my PC video

So I finished putting my pc togethr and the Graphics card (gtx 1060) won’t show any display. I tried onboard video on a tomahawk b350 by msi and it dtill won’t show a display. Could my motherboard be dead?

you have to remove the GPU to use onboard video
