Problem with my Pc when playing Witcher 3

Hello all,

My PC has been fine so far, but when I launch Witcher 3 and only Witcher 3, it sometimes stutters very badly, with lag and gpu usage changing constantly. I think that it is the RAM as i only have 4gb. Every other game is running fine. No matter what settings/ resolution I use, it still does it.

Specs:

i5 2400 (3.1ghz)
gtx 750ti
4gb RAM (1333)

I monitored my PC during gameplay, and it uses around 3.5gb, still under 4gb but is that the reason for the stuttering? I hope it is as it is an easy upgrade.

What settings? 1080p. Yes, 4gb RAM is likely too low and slow (1333).

Doesn't matter what settings it still does it occasionally. I play 1080p medium, bit less than recommended for my gpu.

I've written this and the point before in the original post. It uses around 3.5gb - 3.6gb.

Then yes, likely RAM issue. Windows needs some of the 4gb as well. Stick another 4gb in should help

Yeah, probably RAM, and fortunately, RAM is cheap. You're probably seeing huge spikes of disk activity when it's stuttering as well.

Try to shut down any other processes/programs running in the background before loading the game and it might help you out a bit.
