Question Problem with my PC

[512-Bit]

Hello,

Recently my PC has had this insanely annoying problem. Will run smooth for about 5-10 minutes, then it will BSOD.
Idk how to fix

PC Specs:
R5 2600 (4.15 GHz)
NZXT Kracken x52
16 GB Trident Z 3000 MHz
ASRock B450 Pro4
GTX 1660 Ti
Seasonic 550w modular

Any help would b appreciated

Currently stopped BSODing. Will atatch the code next time

Also do I remove the CMOS battery, or is there a jumper or button somewhere?

Will lowering my clock to 4.1 or 4 GHz help stop this issue?

"CLRCMOS2 allows you to clear the data in CMOS. To clear and reset the system parameters to default setup, please turn off the computer and unplug the power cord from the power supply. After waiting for 15 seconds, use a jumper cap (or a screwdriver tip) to short the pins on CLRCMOS2 for 5 seconds.

Was this error before or after clearing CMOS.

I have had this BSOD issue since I built the PC, but it has done this like 5 times today.
So it isn't my OC settings?

How exactly do I disable XMP? It's been so long since I've enabled it.
I OC'ed it to 3200 from 3000 if that gives you any usefull info

It could be your CPU OC, but right now it looks like an unstable ram OC. This info is useful.

First, I would run memtest for a few rounds and see if it passes. https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
If it fails, return mem to 3000mhz and retest. If it passes then, you might have solved the issue.

How do I run memtest?
Can I run it in windows?
It asks me to make a USB image, so I'm, guessing I have to run it with the BIOS, am I right?

I don't have any empty USB drives on hand, so will it still help if I were to just lower the ram back to 3000?

Yes, memtest must be run from USB, instructions are on that site.

Try reducing ram to 3000mhz and see if the BSOD stop.

BTW unstable ram oc can corrupt files and os, so avoid unstable ram.

I doubt thats an option in his bios.

I cannot select IDE/compatibility mode in my AM4 mobo's bios.

Only UEFI or UEFI + Compatability or something like that.

I got the RAM used. Could this be why it was returned?

It is rated for 3000 MHz.
Haven't tried 2133

Clearing CMOS will put ram at 2133 and CPU to stock. It will remove oc from the equation
