So I have two monitors, the ASUS VE248Q and the AOC G2770PQU. I have no problem with the asus but ever since I have had the AOC videos display brighter on this monitor. It is a bit odd, let me explain.
You know how movies will sometimes have the black borders on the top and bottom, well those display in true black while the actual footage is brighter. They blacks on the videos are more gray because of this while those borders remain black. I use VLC by the way. What is really odd is that when the video is windowed and i have more than half of it on the asus the black on the video corrects itself and gets darker how it should be. This is not a problem with all movie players as the "movies and tv" app in windows 10 plays the video correctly. Yes, I could just stop using VLC but VLC isnt the only place where I encounter this issue. It happens in games, and other video sources like Netflix and so forth.
I have tried messing with the setting and try and find a solution but nothing so far. Like I said, when the video is more than half on the asus monitor the videos display correctly. Just not when I have it on the AOC. The AOC is my main monitor as its the 27 inch and would prefer to keep it as the main.
Thanks.
