Well iam having this problem with my monitor that my windows desktop and other stuff is not fullscreen, which really annoys the crap out of me, because I game alot on my pc, so this is what it looks like: http://gyazo.com/3fd1c6e790a8c878c56f8687d2d548ad , Oh and I already tried restarting and rebooting my pc.

EDIT: Just found out that if I make a fullscreen screenshot with gyazo it actually is fullscreen.

Iam running windows 7 64 bit and have a AMD Radeon HD 8570D

Hi

you did not say what version of Windows and what you have tried so far so I have a few suggestions

usually the problem is caused by the graphics chip or card running at wrong screen refresh rate for the LCD screen

either not filling screen or over scanning and you cant see edges of screen

sometimes graphics driver fails to talk to screen to determine correct settings

right click on desktop
screen resolution advanced settings Monitor

setting for LCD typically 60 to 75 Hertz

I assume resolution is set to native setting for LCD screen

googling shows 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz
unusually HP shows there is a driver or inf file available which may help

Well, I did metion iam on windows 7 64 bit, but I didnt mention what I tried, so what I tried is uninstalling the newest amd CAT, and installing an old(er) one, and I also tried reinstalling the driver for my monitor... But what you said about the .inf files, where could I find them????
EDIT: My refreshrate is 60, do I dont see the problem there.

Hi

sorry I missed windows version at bottom of post

I Googled your screen model and found link to HP web site
which had software & drivers for various windows versions
however looking more closely there are no drivers only test software

Do you have a CD or other detailed instructions for the LCD ?
Sometimes you have to go into the LCD screen setup and have it syn with your graphics card & driver settings.

Without reading the user guide I cant be more specific

I'll ask my dad if he has gotten a CD with this monitor, because it was his LCD.

EDIT: Nope, he doesn't have it anymore, he lost it or something -_-"
