Problem with new GTX 970

Just installed a new PSU and a new GTX 970. Everything works except for the GPU. I have plugged the monitor into the GPU but it is showing integrated graphics and the GPU fans are not spinning. On GeForce experience, it detects that I have a GTX 970 but it is not displaying and does not seem to be on. The PSU is 620W which should definitely be enough, and when the PC first boots the fan spin before immediately turning off.

I would be grateful for any help

Did you connect the HDMI/VGA cable from the GPU to the monitor. If so go to your bios and set PCIE-1 (something along those lines) as your default display

It turns out the fans only turn on when it's hot enough (about 60 degrees Celsius) so its actually working fine! Thank you for all the help though.
