Problem with new system Please help

Hey

I have installed all my components. When I starting up, after 15-20 seconds the pc just shut down . Can't even go to the bios.

Does anybody know what the problem is?
A dead PSU, dead motherboard, CPU problem??

System:

Intel Core 2 6600 Boxed edition
Asus P965 Deluxe
Corsair TWIN2X 1GB
Western digital SATA II 250 GB
Antec SmartPower 2.0 500 Watt
Asus Geforce 7900 GTX new edition
Nec DVD writer
Samsung DVD-rom

15-20 seconds should be enough to get a POST beep. Do you hear one?

What voltage is the memory rated at? If it's more than 1.8 you may have to just try one stick, or worse, get 1.8v sticks to get to a POST beep.

Also could just be a short. Pull things apart. check for extra mobo standoffs that don't belong.

Did you connect the square 4-pin power plug as well as the 24 pin? What about the extra power connector to the videocard (if it needs one)?

What do you see on your monitor screen for those 15-20 seconds?

What brand/part#?
