I just recently bought a asus essentio gaming desktop pc. ive changed the psu and added a gtx 750 ti but after an update of windows 8.1, the card wont work anymore. I get to the boot up screen but freezes there. please help!!!

So, your getting no signal on your monitor?

If not, make sure everything is slotted in securely and free of dust, then plug it in and try again.

Contact me if this doesn't work,

Thanks,

The computer is prebuilt by Asus. It has an amd fx 8300 eight core processor, 12 mb of ram, came with amd r9 255 2mb. The card is garbage that's why I bought the gtx 750 ti to replace it. It worked before the windows automatic updates. I went to shut the computer off and noticed that I had to install the updates before the computer can turn off. I had no choice but to install the updates. After the install, the computer shut down then I went to turn on the computer to play and it freezes on the boot up screen (black screen with Asus logo and directions to bios menu). I was able to play fallout new Vegas with settings on ultra settings before this happened.

As soon as you change the motherboard you will need to buy a new OS. The old one's license is tied to the old MB.

And don't expect that plugging in the old hard drive into a new motherboard will work either. Driver configuration will no longer match.

But putting the old hardware in a bigger case so you can add more extras to the existing motherboard is perfectly fine.

Just keep in mind some of those premade systems have unique power supply connectors so getting a different / bigger power supply might be a problem so do your research.

I don't think its the motherboard. I got this card towork the first time. I think it might be a faulty card. I'm sending the card in for a replacement.
