We live in a new house within a converted dairy that utilises a satellite dish rather than individual aerials. We can successfully get a TV reception downstairs, but can't receive it in any of the rooms upstairs even though each room has a TV socket. Appreciate any assistance to resolving this problem. Thanks

Somebody will have to determine where those cables connect (maybe to nothing). Coax is pretty simple -- center conductor and shield. As long as those two don't touch you should be able to carry signal. So the obvious thought is that there is a splitter from the dish somewhere and these cables aren't hooked in.
