I have a problem with my pagefile.sys. I tried every other solution like selecting no paging file, resizing min and max virtual memory allocation, and enabling ClearPageFileAtShutdown, but still the pagefile.sys is taking 54GB space on my hard disk.

By the way, I have a 32GB size of RAM. And the software application that I am using, eats up to 95% of my RAM when being used. I just wanted to have a fresh start and clear the contents of the pagefile.sys. What am I missing here?

Solution
You can't "clear" the contents, you can either enable the page file or disable it (or change size), but if enabled it will always mark the file as a certain size. The clearing options are for security. If you want to make the page file smaller, you need to simply select a custom size for each disk you are using that has the page file enabled.
